Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Miguel Ángel Gaxiola García is a board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive surgical and academic experience in Mexico and abroad. His practice combines advanced surgical technique, refined aesthetic judgment, and a personalized approach focused on safety, harmony, and natural-looking results.
He completed his General Surgery residency at Centro Médico Nacional “La Raza” in Mexico City, graduating with the highest academic standing of his generation, followed by Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery training at Centro Médico Nacional “20 de Noviembre”, both programs affiliated with UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico). During his specialty training, he served as Chief Resident and developed advanced experience in aesthetic surgery, reconstructive surgery, burn care, complex wounds, and hand surgery.
With a global perspective on modern plastic surgery, Dr. Gaxiola has pursued international clinical and academic experience in South Korea, Japan, Switzerland, and the United States, including activities at Columbia University and Cleveland Clinic. His academic background also includes master’s degrees in Medical Sciences and Health Sciences Education from UNAM, and he is currently a PhD candidate focused on plastic surgery education.
His commitment to patient safety has led him to become an instructor in advanced life support and trauma programs, including BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association, ATLS through the American College of Surgeons, and ABLS through the American Burn Association.
Dr. Gaxiola’s practice is distinguished by its integration of surgical precision, international experience, academic rigor, and contemporary aesthetic surgery principles.
SURGICAL FACILITIES
Procedures are performed in modern surgical facilities located at New City Medical Plaza in Tijuana, Mexico, with access to certified operating rooms, advanced technology, postoperative recovery services, and specialized patient care.
Our surgical facilities are equipped with intelligent operating rooms, advanced medical technology, intensive care services, and on-site blood bank support, allowing procedures to be performed with high standards of safety and perioperative care. Patients also benefit from access to experienced multidisciplinary medical teams and specialized healthcare professionals within the hospital complex.
For international and out-of-town patients, our team provides personalized logistical assistance throughout the surgical process. Patients arriving through the San Ysidro border crossing may be assisted with transportation coordination directly from the border area to the medical tower. Secure visitor access to the building is facilitated through personalized QR entry credentials coordinated by our staff prior to arrival.
Adjacent to the medical complex is the Quartz Hotel & Spa, a modern hospitality facility conveniently connected to the hospital campus. Through our collaboration with the hotel, patients and accompanying guests have access to comfortable accommodations located within immediate proximity to the surgical and recovery facilities, helping provide a more seamless perioperative experience.
